Have I ever mentioned how much I love my baby sister, or my dad's food? Yeah well I'm mentioning it now.... It really is good to be home for the Easter weekend.

Missing home

My university is 120km from home, which means I can only go home on weekends and holidays. But I usually have too much work to do, to go home every weekend.

My baby sister is growing up very fast and I am missing out on so many things, she is 5 and my mom wrote a blog post about my sister having a loose tooth. It makes me sad because I am not there to experience and share my sister's excitement.

I have also missed out on a few family holidays due to exams. It sucks to miss out and to just miss...

Decorating the corridors

Every year, in the dormitory we have a corridor-decorating weekend. This year, we decided to have a farm/cowboy theme for the corridor, which I live on. Here are some photos of the end result.

It was so much fun in taking part in decorating the corridor and the results are very beautiful.

RAG- weekend

Sometimes, I wonder if I chose to go to the right university and then weekends like this happen and I know I ABSOLUTELY made the right choice. Nowhere in the world would I have found the student life that I have here.

RAG translated is "Your selfless sacrifice for charity". The students build floats in order to raise money for charity. But there are also bands performing on the RAG-farm, as well as beer tents. People come from all over to see the bands and the floats.

Last night, there was also amazing fireworks, no photo can do them any justice, because they were simply amazing!

I really had a great time with my friends and dancing in the crowds who came to see the bands.

All in all, it was a very fun weekend and it feels great to know that I also contributed to charity and had so much fun. 

Fun filled weekend

Weekends with my family is never boring, because we always go places and do fun things.
This weekend started off with my sister getting a haircut, just to get rid of those nasty tangles.

We went to the Planetarium on Saturday, it was a lot of fun and Mieka enjoyed it very much.

Afterwards, we went to Mike's Kitchen Parktown, where I found no. 19 of my bucket list. 

   

That evening we had a kiddies party, which my sister enjoyed a lot!
