You know that insane headache you get. The headache that drives you mad and almost makes you want to scream. What's its name again?
Visa! Yes, Visa.
We had to go and apply for our visas today. Oh man, the preparation, filling out the DS-160 and getting all the papers in order for our visa application was definitely a huge headache. Where are those painkillers? The stress had us in tight knots. After all our preparation they didn't even take our papers, only asked a few questions! Our Visas got approved!
But even the stress could not dampen our excitement: in less than two months, me and my family will be travelling to San Antonio, Texas. We are going to stay at my uncle's house.
I CAN NOT WAIT!!!!
It will be the middle of winter here in South Africa, so we will be skipping winter for two weeks and going to high summer. Yippeee!!! We will be basking in the sun, while the people at home freeze! We will be wearing summer dresses, okay you get the point! I'll stop rubbing it in your face!
The wanderluster will be going on an adventure! Adventure is my word for 2015 and that is what I'll be doing. I will also be celebrating my 22nd birthday in the country of Cowboys with the best family! Oh, this is going to be good!
What places are recommended whilst visiting San Antonio?
This blog is about a 22-year old millennial, living in South-Africa. I am open minded. I write about university and the travels, which I am going to have. I have a wanderlust that can't be satisfied, unless I travel. Adventure is my middle name.

My summer list
By Arnia Kiara Oosthuizen
Here in South-Africa, there is no such thing as spring. We get the blossoms that bloom like spring, but we have the heat of a full-blown summer! I was born in the winter and therefore I am a lover of summer. I blossom in summer (pun intended).
My mom, Momagain@40, asked me to take part in this Summer List. Well, here goes:
What is your favorite thing about summer?

What is your favorite thing about summer?
My favorite thing about summer is the fact that the whole world gets life again. Everything is green and blossoming, people dress pretty and colourful for summer and everyone is inspired to accomplish higher heights. But my most favorite thing is that I can open my windows and just take it all in.
Do you have a favorite summer drink?
I must confess that after a long and hot day, there is nothing better than an ice cold beer, running down my throat.
Is there a location you like to go each summer?
I don't have a place where I always go, but I am crazy about the bush veld and going to game farms. It feels like I belong there and should be running wild with all the animals...
Dresses or skirts?
Oh, I love me some dresses! And each and every year, the dresses just get more beautiful and then I just want them all! If I could wear them 24/7 I would!
Sandals or ballet pumps?
Sandals are the best option for summer, because they won't give you smelly feet like pumps. I am crazy about my sandals and I wear them down in the summer time...
Hair up or down?
I am a hair down type of person come hell or high water even though it is hot....

Smokey eyes or bold lips?
I recently discovered the power of bold lips: red lips. I love the boldness and it makes me feel so sexy! But I prefer smokey eyes as well in the summer, especially when we are having a night-out.

Favorite perfume for summer?
My favorite perfume for summer is Adidas: Pure Lightness. It smells delicious and it doesn't cost this student an arm and a leg....
Favorite music for summer?
My favorite music for summer, is music that make me want to go on an adventure or roadtrip. Music that makes me feel infinite and invincible... This song by NONONO- Pumpin Blood, makes me want to go an adventure with great friends...

2013 is on it's back!
By Arnia Kiara Oosthuizen
What a year it was!
I started my second year at university and it was so fun and time flew so fast that it feels like it almost didn't happen, but now it is over. Kind of sad when I think of it. Next year I get my degree and I also hope to get approved for a honours degree, hopefully in PR or Web Design.
Everyone needs that study buddy who will motivate you through the year. Merieke has been the best study buddy anyone can ask for! But she is also one of my best friends and I value her friendship dearly! She also has an identical twin and she is also one of my best friends.

Vacation at Mabula
By Arnia Kiara Oosthuizen
We were out of touch this week, because we were in paradise, also known as Mabula Game Lodge in Limpopo.
I am crazy about this place, because there is no city lights and noise of the city. All you could hear is the sounds of birds, bugs and animals.
There was no reception for cellphones, which was quite nice.
I, especially love the game drives, which they offer. You get to see 4 of the Big 5. The leopards almost never show their faces, so to see them is a special treat.
We also got to do a guided walk with a game ranger. He is very intelligent and showed us many amazing things. We also got the chance to walk with Rhinos, we were able to get within 20 meters of them. It is such a same that they are going extinct, but hopefully they can be preserved and that even our grandchildren will be able to see them.
There was a great kiddies program on for kids, which my sister enjoyed a lot.
We love going to Mabula, I don't know how many times I have been there, but each time I enjoyed it immensely. I hope we will be going there soon.
Please feel free to leave a comment :)
